OK, here are the Official Plans.   Cheesy

We will be meeting at Lougheed Mall at 9:00 AM.     I know this is early but this is a long cruise so we want to start early.  Jeff is working on getting Security to close a section of the parking lot for us.  We will leave Lougheed Mall at 10:00 sharp.  From the Mall we will cruise to McDonalds in Maple Ridge via United Blvd/Mary Hill Bypass/Lougheed Hwy.  I expect this section to take us around 45 minutes.  We will group up again at the McDonalds.  I would hope to leave McDonalds around 11:00 AM.  When we leave McDonalds we will go North on 228 St until Dewdney Trunk Rd.  About 15km down Dewdney, Travis will take over the lead and take us down some twisty roads into Mission. (I tried these roads and they are great).  We will meet up again at the Chevron in Mission.  I would think we would be there between 11:30 – 12:30.  I know that some members will be meeting us at Chevron.  We will leave Chevron, and take some more twisty roads (Again, I tried these are they are fun) which will take us back to Lougheed and on our way to Harrison.  I expect to be in Harrison around 1:30.  We will take an hour or so break in Harrison for Lunch.  Some of you mentioned having a BBQ and others opted for a restaurant.  I would hope to leave Harrison around 3:00 and head up to Hop and ultimately the Hope Side.  The maps below only show us going to Hope as I did not know the exact GPS coordinates for the Slide.  It is only 18km out of Hope so not that far.  I think that we should be at the Slide around 3:30 to 4:00.

Please keep in mind, the times are not exact, nor do we have to follow them to a tee, it just allows the people that are meeting us at different points of the cruise to know when to expect us.

FRS's: If you have one, bring it.  We will be using Channel 10 sub-channel 00.

If you want, PM me and I will give you my Cell # so that you can call me to find out were we are.

I think that I covered everything.  If not, I will add it as the date gets closer.

This was my first ‘real’ meet last year and it was great.  I hope that this year is even better.

If anyone needs directions from somewhere to any of our stops, just PM me.  The maping program I use is amazing for giving directions and allowing me to publish the maps and directions to the web.

We will be meeting on the upper parking lot.  You can access this lot from North Road.  At this time we are not sure exactly where on the lot we will be meeting, but Security will be closing a section for us.  the upper deck is small and you can see the whole thing from anywhere else on the lot.  It should not be hard to find us.  I will be there around 8:45, so just look for me.

If I get a chance, I will create some type of map to help everyone.

Yeah, great job! For those that don't know,  the very first Fraser Valley Tour had a total of 9 cars come out. It was in May 2000. Troy, Lowell, Eddie, Colin, Steve, Chung, 2 guys from the states and me. Although the Hope part of the tour didn't happen until August 2000. It is great to see the interest in this tour now. It should be well over 25 cars!

On that note, does anyone have contact with the US guys?  We may want to exted this invitation to them.  Also, can someone please put this link on the Canada DSM board, just incase.

During this cruise, we are asking everyone to fly black ribbons out of respect for our fallen friend, Jay Drew.

We choose black as this is the color of car Jay drove.

I will be purchasing some ribbon today and will hand it out at the many stops on the cruise.

If you have any questions, please PM me.

Matthew.

So Travis, Dave, other members from out this way, where are we meeting the main group?  And where are we meeting eachother?

also, we should get some Cell#s out, Matt, pm me yours and I will reply with mine.  That is a good start.

if we are barbecuing, we should get some food.  What size Q?  maybe we should just shop in Harrison for the food, then we don't have to cart it all over.  Tho a cooler in the back is a good idea too.

Anyone got a spare FRS?

I have an appointment that morning, so if I don't make it to Mission, I will just meet up with everyone at Harrison for lunch. I will be keeping in touch with Matthew during the morning to see how the group is progressing.
