what is the stock wight of the flywheel on a 91 talon awd turbo , I just bought a ACT streetlight 11 lbs  and I think there is rule of thumb  for extra hp per wight taken off the drive train.  anyone know?

A light flywheel will normally not affect horsepower readings.  It still might make the car faster.

I think the differences you are looking for are inertia changes in the rotational mass.  That means a bit more work.  I'm not sure if anyone has done any calculations on inertia changes with different flywheels.  

My 2.4 w/o balance shafts and the twin disc seems to gain and lose revs much quicker than my old 2.0 with balance shafts and a stock flywheel.

This is a lot more complicated than it may seem, in real life.  The easiest and laziest (Read: least accurate) way to do it is to assume that all the weight is concetrated at the outer radius and just do a simple 0.5 * (M*R^2) calculation to see the change.  That or you could make a solid model in a 3D CAD software and just click on the properties toolbar. :wink:

its a big parasitic loss. 19lbs vs 8 for a Fidanza.

and its also not gonna make you stall all over the place.  I have only stalled it twice since I got mine roughly a year ago and I drive it every day.
