so I'm really new to logging(the car, not trees) and I was wondering what sorta things I'm looking for,and what to do.

I have a laptop with TMO logger.

I sorta know that I want really low knock counts(5 or less) and big timing(20deg advance).

I think I want to keep my air flow HZ to just under 1600.

But I am at a total loss when it comes to fuel trims, and all that other stuff.

Any help would be great.

thanx guys

Don't worry about the airflow.  If you go above 1606, it just shows up as flat.    More air means more power, so you want that to go up.  You do not want to see very sharp downward spikes after its been pinned at 1606 for awhile. That means over-run....

Your low, mid, and high fuel trims should be at 100%.  Do you have an S-AFC yet?

02s should cycle at idle, and crusing, and hit a constant number of some sort under WOT.  This constant number seems to be highly variable.   It used to be .92 in my car,   now its .74.     This is why tuning with an EGT is handy.

Tuning tips:

You want to go as lean as possible with as much boost as possible, while keeping EGTs under 1650 F and knock as low as possible.  And timing over 20 degrees.......   Bear in mind that going richer may allow you to run more boost, but you may not go faster.........

nope no safc.  But I will tune with maf porting, boost, fuel pressure, and I am experimenting with intake air temps as well.

So I want high airflow, no dropoffs.  Timing over 20deg  Fuel trims at 100%  and I'm guessing at around .88 for O2 voltage.

thnx Chris Smiley
