Just want to know what color is the clutch fluid suppose to be?
Should it be the same as the brake fluid?  Thanks.

Then I have a problem.
It's more like a blackish color now.  You can't really see through it.
I recently got it changed along with the master and slave cylinder at L&R earlier this year too.
Any ideas what the problem might be?

it's exactly the same as brake fluid because it is brake fluid.

You can bleed out all of it and start fresh.  The cylinders are both new, so it will be easy.  Just buy a couple or 3 bottles of the stuff, and get a freind to help you bleed the system.  Just keep bleeding till the fluid at the slave is clear and clean.

Remember to keep the master at least half full, you don't wanna suck in any air do ya Smiley  And keep that shit off your paint.  It will eat it inside 2 seconds flat.  Just keep a water hose handy, it washes off with water.

It's the fact that it gets dirty so fast that worries me.
What parts does the clutch hydralics system consist of?
Master cylinder, slave cylinder, clutch lines?  what else?

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't Brake/Clutch fluid turn darker when it absorbs water?

I am sure is it something like this.  Maybe I am just talking out my a$$?

I can tell you it turns dark when it absorbs paint. Found that out the hard way on a previous car

it gets old and dirty like any fluid.  Keep it changed and maintained like any part.

And yea keep it off the paint...

hmmmm, I don't know the answer to that.  I think it should last longer than that, but maybe that is normal.

Anyone else?

I JUST flushed/changed my clutch fluid, and it's quite a bit darker than normal already. I touched the rubber on the lid for the master cylinder resevoir and it left a dark greasy residue, so my guess is that it's just some reaction with the rubber and other components in the system that makes it dark.

Nutshell: mine is dark too, so fuhgeddaboutit
