When I did a boost leak test this weekend air would start coming out of the breather-hose from my valve cover that goes to my intake.  Pretty sure this is not normal but it might just be me.

I also have a different intake pipe that I will be putting in so I was wondering what to do with all 4 hoses that go to our stock intake.

A.) Recirc hose- I got that one.
B.) Valve cover hose - can put a breather filter on it or Catch Can
C.) Little vaccum hose right beside the filter -?
D.) Last remaining hose -??

Thanks dudes!

I think boost control solenoid is the small one and charcoal cannister the big one

Ryan nailed it.

IF your new intake pipe has provision for the pcv breather, attach it and put a filter inline with it. If not, put a filter on the end so it doesn't make a mess and suck in unfiltered air.

If it has provision for the charcoal canister, put it on. If not, same as above.

If it doesn't have a large pipe for your bov recirc, take it back and get one that does.

if it has provision for the stock wastegate regulator line, cap that off unless you still run stock wastegate solenoid system.

alright thanks guys.  So basically I need to find a way to keep the stock wastegate solenoid workin.  I will pop the hood tommorow (what I should have done in the first place) and see if I can work something out.  Thanks alot guys.

Not necessarily.  I am currently running straight j-pipe to wastegate actuator 6 inches of line, no bcs.

yep, you can run the line just straight to the wastegate from any manifold source.  You will loose throttle response as even a bit of boost will start to open the wastegate, and you will definately make less boost, but it is totally safe.  Hell, you will probably get better mileage and be able to run cheaper gas.

One final question.  For the Valve cover breather hose, Say I just buy some new hose, route it down to around the tranny for example and throw a filter on the end of it.  Will this cause too much oil to just rest in the hose and plug up the little filter really quickly?  I plan on putting an inline Fuel filter on the hose as well just to make sure.  It is ok to leave the PCV system stock also correct?  Thanks, just want to make sure I know exactly what is going to happen becuase noone around here stocks those little breather filters.

no don't get one of those ricer breather filters, just run it back into the intake pipe with an inline filter, like I said from a carbed US V8.

as for hose, you have to get hose made for pcv, those vapours are nasty, with a capital nast!

only problem is this new intake pipe only has a place for my Bov recirc tube. I plan on leaving the PCV alone; after I get a new PCV valve.

yea just put some sort of filter on the line you run from the drivers side of the valve cover, you don't want to be sucking in unfiltered air

Ya that was the plan.  So I can just run the line away from my engine compartment with an inline Fuel filter and some stupid KN (or similar) on the end?  That is my plan as of right now.

no K&N, just go to crappy tire or similar and get a PCV filter for one of those older carb engines, the ones that sit inside of the air cleaner.  just put it on the end of the hose

change the $1 or less filter once in a while.

It doesn't grease up the car, trust me, if you see my engine bay, you would know I would never put it in there if it was messy...
