Is it a must to disconnect the fuel pump to change the fuel filter? Sounds dumb but I can't find the connection in the trunk. The manual says it's to the left of the spare tire but I still can't find it.

Thats only for AWDs I think, is yours a FWD?

you don't have to disconnect the pump or any electrical stuff.

Just have a rag handy for when you crack open the fittings.  It will just spurt out.  not much really.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT SIZE WRENCHES THO, if you strip them you are gonna have alot of problems.

I ended up doing it without disconnecting anything and it worked great. little spillage that's all. Though those fittings were a real B*tch to get off. She runs alot better now. The car was stumbling and would idle really rough.
