So I just want to get an idea on how many people would actually pay an entry fee for the shootout to cover trophies.  Please only post if you plan on going.  Fees will depend on number of entrants but we'll say a good ballpark will be around $10-20

yes, but not $10 - $20

more like $5 - $10.

Entry fee for Mission, $26.  Guest $5.  Gas for the nite $15  If C-16 $85.  Food $10 each.

and thats before possible towing and or broken parts.

The pricing will be based on attendance to cover the cost of the trophies, I don't plan on making any money here  .  If there are a lot of people, it could be dirt cheap but on the other hand it may come out pretty expensive so we'll see.  I don't intend on dishing out any of my own money into the fund for this considering I don't even have a DSM anymore :x

I would pay whatever it costs, as long as I get to drive the crap out of my car more than three times, like the last street legals I was at in Mission.  Im gonna drive 4 hours so whats twenty bucks compared to the hundred I will spend each way and the other hundred I will spend on race gas.

Oh, and Jovan, I will represent by taking your old 4 bolt rearend down the track real fast!!!

If I can make it, and I am sure I will.
I would throw down some $$ for the trophy's, not that I will get one but whatever.

I dont think it should be mandatory to be at the shootout but if you would like to compete for one or just support the cause it would be apreaciated.

Thanks Mitch.  That's the fastest part of my old car Tongue . Hopefully its being more useful for you then it was for me.

Also, if and when any of you break down at the shootout and need a hand, come find me.  I'll just be hanging around trying to look important so I might as well help out where I can.

It seems an overwhelming majority of people want the trophies so I'll start looking into prices but we need to start organizing classes.  I don't want to have too many to avoid single or two car categories, plus it also raises the cost for everyone to have a bunch of classes.  I was thinking the following would be fine, let me know if you have any better ideas.

Fastest 1g:  Guys like Marty have proven that a FWD can be just as fast as an AWD so I say group them all together.

Fastest 2g:  Same deal as the 1g only heavier and slower

Fastest N/T: Both 1g and 2g cars go here.  I expect that to not be such a popular class so adding the two together might make it a good class.

Fastest non-DSM:  Basically a purple ribbon "participant" award.  Who brings a non DSM to a  DSM shootout anyways

Maybe we should also include an "almost as gay as Robin" class as well.  Just because.  So give me feedback, what do you guys think?
