Top Tier, being something GM is on board with, I hear about it all the time. its in alot of the GM tech tips and bulletins.
Its basically a gas with alot more detergents in it. Thats basically it. Keeps your fuel system cleaner longer.
That said, I and my Talon like 94 Chevron, so who knows...

Shell is also listed, and we all know how good shell gas is...
I wonder how much it costs to get a top tier rating?

Grr! Since the gas fiasco with the Bronze a few years ago, Shell restructured to focus on providing the best gas.
Note: Shell is the only retailer nation-wide to offer Top Tier designated gas, and is the only Top Tier company to exceed the standards.

Shell gas has definately gone along way to gain back the trust no question. I did have a Shell gas related problem with my car, but apparently its good gas now.
I'd give it a try but they don't offer 94 (or better) gas here. In the rest of the world, they have great hi performance fuels. And all the ads about testing with Ferrari etc, but they best you can get is 91.
