From my own 1st person experience, stay away from the ones in Coombs & Port Alberni...bugger in Port wanted more for a USED strut, than I paid for a NEW strut. When I pointed out this discrepancy, his attitude was "oh yeah, well goodie for you".

What is it with wreckers who think their junk, ESP >10yr old junk, is worth near new prices. I guess I was spoiled with pick-your-part in Edmonton.....

1 local wrecker up in Terrace where I used to live was really good for 10ys & older parts...always open to negotiation, especially if you were buying lots of stuff.

I guess these idiots never learned "Better to sell 10 items at 10% profit, than 1 item at 50% profit". They have permanently lost me as a customer.

regards
Ken

I think the general rule is for wrecker parts 75% of new parts. but it varies on part for demand and each junkyard
