im thinking he took a stock turbo of a evox, supposedly they're not bad and should do 400hp. they use a twin scroll housing.

My question would be why would he go to that trouble and cost, when they are soooo many better turbs out there? and $6500 thats a little steep for a 91 car. Also not to pick apart the ad any more but full 2" exhaust, they came stock with 2 1/4.

its prob. an evo 3 turbo. the later evo turbos are in the opposite configuration. meaning the hot side and cold side are reversed.

yea for the cost and effort involved in putting on any Evo snail from 4-10 it would be much smarter to use a different turbo.

I dont think the price is that bad really. The paint is in good shape from the looks of it. Comes with aftermarket rims with good tires. He just rebuilt the head and did the timing belt (obvioulsy his old timing belt snapped) and he also just did the turbo and all 4 struts.

Not to mention a 91 with 165,000km's is VERY hard to come by and he has some sort of exhaust (with FP mani) and he has leather and prolly a sunroof too.

I think the price is pretty fair considering all the other beaten up stockers are selling for $4000. Cut the guy a break. $5200 isnt bad at all considering what else you can buy on the market today for that. NOT MUCH.

Thats definately an evo III turbo too. The only company I know that sells it with a silver wastegate is SBR. Mine has a silver wwastegate too.

From the looks of it, this car could easily roll to 240,000km with no maintenance required, except maybe a clutch and the required oil changes.
