New to the Island

I recently moved to Courtenay from Thunder Bay, Ontario.  I stumbled across the forum from the DSMtuner site looking for locals.  There isn't much of a car scene for anything but chevy pickups and old ass american muscle where I am from, so I was excited to see the number of DSM's on the island.
Currently only have stone cold stock 1gb laser NT and a 1ga Talon TSi AWD.

Seems like a great forum filled with good people.

yea i saw it too...american car...104,xxx miles. auto seat belts??? says TALON on the side of it? 4400$ on used vic about 3 weeks ago..

anyway, welcome to the island...Im in vic...what i drive is in my signature.

Also just moved Port Alberni a few months back; from Alberta by way of a 20 year detour in northern BC. Sure am enjoying the tropics here! T-shirt, shorts, & sandals in December.....yeehaw!

Yeah I just bought that one, I drove out in a 1gb laser that is beaten and rotten from the Ontario winters.  To pass a BC inspection is ridiculous so I caved and got a new one.  I wanted a good base to start from for a new dsm, the price was right and its as stock as I could find.

Would love to get in on a meet, my only days off are thursdays and sundays so if they fall on one of those, count me in.

If I can get a break in the fog I will take pictures of both the cars, and put them up.  Gotta warn you though, Ontario was rough on the laser.  It's a shame really, it only has 110k on it, but the underside looks like it was sprayed with acid.

Some of the members here are Ontario based ~    I think the site is run and started in Ontario.

So there is actually a pretty good DSM scene in Ontario (I think).

Already took a run this week and plan on going again on thursday (my day off)

The DSM scene in Ontario is pretty good, but not where I am from.  Thunder Bay isn't quite the middle of nowhere, but you can see it from there
