GL-4 and GL-5 trans fluids
«

I read the post about the trans fluid,
and it is recommended to stay away GL-5.
And I read on the VFaq, and it says to put in 3qts GL-4 MT and 1qt GL-5 75w-90(Redlines)??
As a newbie, I am confused.
there is also a post saying 50/50 mix of MTL and MT 90......
I know this topic has been discussed before, but please clearify for me.
Thank you very much.

Some are GL-4 and GL-5 compatable, in these they dont have the corrosive aspects of the GL-5. Dont use one that says it is only for GL-5, your syncro's won't like you.
