And an AWESOME time was had by all  Grin Cheesy, except Cam, who had to bow out of the last 2 rounds due to blowing out a tire.

Day went well for the most part...

Morning was fun. Afternoon saw me get lost once, nudge a berm with the corner of my bumper, lose the plug off of my oil pressure gauge (slightly worrying when I look down and find NOTHING after a big bump... but no oil pressure light), and blew the bead off one of my tires about halfway through the afternoon - That was a day ender, by choice. I didn't want to mess up my spare set of wheels because they're too pretty (and the fact I had to put all four spares on due to a size difference).

Great time, though. The course was much tighter than last time, but the surface was a bit more conducive to slides.

I think this'll be my last rallycross for a while - The car is getting a bit closer to the ground in the coming weeks and may have some fresh paint on the front that I'll be hesitant to mess up.

Both Ken and I are in there somewhere.

Edit - October 18 is the next date.

I hate to brag... Grin

but I just saw the results from that RallyX....And from how I read it ( I have been know to let enthusiasm blind me to details), the ONLY car faster than me was a full-on rally Subaru with proper coil-overs & gravel tires that was trailered to the event!

AND I am tied for top points with one of the drivers of that car. Not bad for a DSM that's been rode hard & put away wet all its life (all 192,000 MILES of it)! Shocked

FWIW I am running stock springs, with bagged struts (kept banging off the bump stops), and M&S winter tires. My driveshaft steady bearings are shot, I have no idea how old the plugs are, the plug wires are hacked to shite, the K & N is totally plugged with Parksville dust, the back brakes drag a little, the rad leaks, I buckled a front fender, I set the wheel alignment in my driveway at night by eyeball, and the Subaru beat me by only 1% on the laptime.....

Wow did those fellas at Mitsubishi know how to build a car!

I never did get to go for a ride last time...

I guess it's all that weekly practice!

Congrats on the great results, Ken

Yeah, sorry about that Cam

BTW, know of anyone who would want the stripped carcass of a 1G?

I have all the parts I want off my old Talon, and there's not much left except good glass, all body panels, and the seats.

I will x-post in Parts I guess

regards
