Enough with this drag racing BS let's hit up some road courses where the AWD really shines!

I agree, I am getting tired of the straight line stuff.  I use to now mainly to see how much power the car is making.

And Ivan, I say lets do it in the rain  Cheesy

Haha the rain would be fun! But yea, the straight line stuff does get boring. I mean, if I was really really into drag racing, i'd probably just build a funny car.

DSM's are good contendors for the road course. Independent suspension, AWD, you can get them well balanced with some lightened components ie: CF hood, hatch, removal of bumpers etc.

Right on.  Well lets so SCCA road racing next year!! Get BCDSM involved with it.  Imagine racing against porches's corvettes and done up camero's, s2000's, 350z's all sorts of cool cars in a dsm.  Im sure with 300-400 WHP and a really good tight suspension setup  that a dsm would be a serious contender out there.

I have to get a cage into my colt, lightweight rims/slicks, full coilovers, and some big 2G awd brakes then im going to try to go through my licences in the race weekends after drivers training.  If it gets banged up... i dont care... you can always build another colt!  Its going to be a race car afterall!  If you have a mint talon im sure you wouldn't want to race it with 30 other cars at the same time.  Maybe solo would be the best option for that.

You don't get to do wheel to wheel for a long while, so other than off-road incursions you shouldn't get beat up to much.

And i'm in. I've already got a deal with a friend to do the driver training in march.

yeah... you dont get to do much wheel to wheel in the drivers training.

Im more talking about after you get ur licence and go through your novice and then race in the different classes where you are actually fender to fender with 25-30 other cars going full tilt around the raceway

Not much to tell John, we plan on signing up for the first driving training weekend in 2010, simple as that. Hell i'm not even sure i'll have a car I can use yet! My door isn't safe for a track right now, no way I would risk it.

hehehe, yea its gonna be springtime I am sure.  Most road race guys don't like rain/wet leaves/frost/snow/ice under the rubber of thier 2wd race cars.

PS, study, level 2 is good stuff to know for sure.
