mmm ultra long route.   I bet it would be really easy to turn that into a short route with the piping you have.

Thats how the early evo's are routed.  Mitsubishi is not stupid... so it must not affect things too bad to have it that way.  Plus less fabrication and it fits better the way it is not having to sneak by the alternator/ oil filter way.

sweet, when you get it all together post up some pics in the pics section so we can see this beast!

PS: thats the same intercooler kit i had on my old talon.  They work awesome!!  What did you do for the throttle body elbow?  thats where my kit had a issue.  Had to go to a 2G throttle body elbow and then it fit fine.  The kit i had was sorta installed by the previous owner and he cut the piping up and routed it differently down behind the radiator.. off to the drivers side( down by the oil filter/alternator).  It was really tight and it sorta rubbed on the oil filter housing a bit and interfered with the oil pressure switch as well.

I like how i have it routed on my colt and my evo tho.  I think its the easiest way to do it.

heres how my piping is routed on my colt.

ULTRA LONG LONG ROUTE!! Wink ..... but low and behold it still spooled the EXACT same as when it had the SMIC and stock piping.... imagine that.  Full boost (12psi) at 2800 RPM.

I have a 2G throttle body elbow if you want one

Ill sell it for $25.

I noticed a BIG improvement in power and throttle responce when i went from the tiny 1G elbow to the 2G elbow.  Like noticable for sure.
