I am replacing the vacuum hosing on my 6 bolt, and the new hose I have is same internal diameter but larger outer diameter than the stock hose clamps can accommodate.  Are the hose clamps necessary?  Do I need to find some hose that is the same outer diameter as stock so I can reuse the stock hose clamps?  Anyone have any sources to share?

Thanks

Jason

its generally a good idea to make sure there are no leaks when it comes to vaccum. some of them dont matter as much, but others are important that there are no leaks. i personaly would just get a few new hose clamps, or just new hose all together depending on price. which ever way is cheapest i guess. at the very least use zap straps to make sure they are tight on there.

use quality zap straps on vacuum hoses.

See, its not just vacuum if your car is turbo. Those are all under pressure too, so they can leak and/or pop off under boost.
