This stuff happens. Don't feel bad about it. Its not the first meet there was a no show at BCDSM.
I haven't organized much meets so far, but from my observations of past successful meets:
1. Timing should be thought out carefully (the date of the trip makes a difference if people can come out - Sundays are usually good).
2. The events and full details (time and place) are planned in advance are usually successful (a week or so in advance). It is because there is enough time for people to sit on it and contemplate if they want to sign up.
3. The most important thing is accountability. At least you planned it and still showed up, so that's a good thing. I have seen some guys plan something and they bail on the group without notice (which is pretty shitty in my opinion).
Better luck next time. Don't be discourage to try and start something up again.
