So the 4GCS is outwardly identical to the 4G63 block?

Mike, not quite.    There isn't the usual mounting spot for the knock sensor.     Its not a big deal, as one can screw the knock sensor in the rear balance shaft phase check plug.    Or you could pay big bucks and get threads machined into where it should be.......   Block height is 6mm higher, but that isn't readily apparent.    A cooling hole needs to be drilled into the deck, but that's pretty easy to do.   Internally, there is a lack of oil jets.   $250 or so should pay to get the machine work done.   Also on the inside, there is just a bit more room for the larger crank to spin without hitting things, unlike the 4G63.   The real name of the block, technically speaking is G4CS,  why,  I don't know.......

Andrew, a C6 block?   whats that?    I thought we were gonna get choppers.  S&S makes a TC88 (Harley) style motor thats 145 cubic inches   Now that would be a chopper.

Machine in oil jets.  Purchase new jets or swap in some used ones.
Drill cooling hole.
Screw in knock sensor to balance shaft phase check plug.
Obtain 2.4L T-belt  MD182292
Obtain 2.4L  Intake  (MD189399)  cam gear

Thats it.

Now that I've said how to do it,  I'm seriously considering custom building one for anyone interested.   See the Parts Trader section for details......
