Hey guys,

Im stuck on the choice between exhaust manifolds right now. I want to change mine up when I pull the turbo.

Here's my choices for my price range....

or

I am leaning towards stainless because of the low thermal conductivity which keeps the heat in. I dont wanna wrap the exhaust, but Forced Performance is tried and proven. Also, I am worried about boost creep and the stainless would work better to prevent that.

I am also staying internally gated for now so a block off plate for the wastegate attachment would be in order.

Chad

I've had various brands/types of tubular SS manifolds on my setup. I currently have the FP cast unit and will never go back. Its simple, effective and easy to re and re.

FP race mani all the way, I wouldn't even consider using a stainless mani when the FP is available.  I have seen the stainless mani's crack, but the fp's ive used have been awsome.

Fp for sure. Wrap it or have it ceramic coated because it will melt stuff and wreck your hood

I never had an issue. I painted mine with Black header paint.  But yes I do recomend a ceramic coating but its not necisarily needed.

I beleive you can also get a heat shield for it, JMF used to make one, i'm not sure if they still do.

Oh, and There was a sale on DSMtuners not to long ago with the FP race for $175 Shipped.

If you want I'll sell u mine. I had it ceramic coated at kool coats in Langley under a year ago.  The ceamic coating alone was $120.  I'll take $180 as is with the hardware

Yes I agree it's an awesome manifold. My only complaint about it is it corrodes really bad then looks like shit like any other cast manifold. Now that it's ceramic coated satin black it's waaaay better. Like I said, fit and finish is top notch as expected from fp.

I know. I'm really meticulous when it comes to my car parts. I'm glad it went to a good home. I didn't really know there would be so much interest in this manifold. I've received about 15 pm's over night. I have to sell it to the first person who pm's me though cuz that's only fair. That lucky person will be contact later today. Thx

Aww man. Well that's crumby. I really need this part too. I guess it fair though Sad   My manifold is cracked right thru.

Thanks anyways man.

Needless to say to everyone, i checked this post last night at 12:30am. I come online at 10:30am and the manifold offered to me has been jacked. Especially because this is my thread.

Cant help but feel a little annoyed. this would have really helped me out.

He should have first dibs as it was his thread, and he was offered the manifold first.  Gentlemans agreement.

But at the end of the day, the first person to give the seller money gets the part.

I got mine bronze coated from FP about 2 years ago ($100 extra for the coating). Of course the brand new shine faded away in a few months but still it looks very very nice, no corrosion.
