Lifter noise and oil type

I was looking around to find a cure for lifter noise and came acroos this, http://www.proffittracing.com/dsmoiltable.html

I think the best way would be swapping them with 3g lifters but some have luck with different oil type/grade.

I have tried thinner and thicker before, and its not a huge difference either way.  In the hot parts of the summer the thicker was better, but normally the thinner was quieter, if I remember correctly.

makes no difference for me either that's why I'm leaning toward 3g lifters, DAMN DSM! no j/k, its all part of fun

hell, I still get occasional lifter tick, rarely, and not evenly, but still sometimes and thats with Royal Purple and brand new 3g lifters.
