Do we have anyone I know we have people running them

Has anyone logged their temperatures pre and post intercooler with a good dose of pre-turbo injection?

I just got finished reading a bit of the "theory" talking about how if you can design a perfectly saturated pre-compressor injection system (where you reach 100% saturation of the air)  having a traditional intercooler can hypothetically cause you to gain more heat than it sheds as the air expands to fill it.

Interesting stuff.

Makes me want to experiment with chemical only cooling.
Didn't Phil do something like this with a colt once?

Real world results are the more pre turbo meth you can run =more power
However running that much pre turbo meth creates backfire issues for street driving..
So it is a compromise.
I am more interested in Ethanol......because less is required...
Getting the air to mix well with so much meth is a problem.

How much methanol are you running at each injector Dan? Interesting question Remi, wish I could help you out. Right now I don't even have post intercooler temps!

320cc preturbo
three other nozzles on the throttle elbow totaling 1100cc I think..
Devil's maf controller..
I believe theres room for improvement and tuning..
I wonder what the max pre turbo nozzle I could use for street.

I'm using a 650cc pre turbo and then a 750cc in the TB elbo. So far no ill effects, but I also only have 1200km's on the set up. I may have to install a temp probe pre intercooler one of these days to check it out. Chances are it will be only a skin temp, but that's better than nothing.

I found that I can run more boost and more timing with another nozzle pre turbo.

It also has been found to greatly help small turbos running at the top end(or past it) of thier efficiency curve.  Like running a 16g at 27psi for instance  Smiley

But I also found that(not on my car) that it will indeed cause backfiring if you run too much injection with straight methanol in the pre turbo setup.  Right Marke?  Wink

It did it on my car too, with my 250 psi pump and straight methanol I had to lean the piss out of it, and it would still sputter a bit.

But properly tuned it works very well.

But Remi, first you have to have a turbo on yer ride yo!

Ya. I am running 2 nozzles. a M7 and a M3. I think I will take out the smaller one now, as you guys with the much bigger turbos probably need that much more than my wee 20g wheel.
