just hope that you don't need a rebuild kit for your brakes - cuz there are none in Canada.  Your only option is rebuilts, if you can find any, or ordering from the states.  I can't frakking believe it.

Lordco, NAPA, T&T, Murphy-Wakefield, Mopac - all the same thing.  Discontinued, end of lifed, not in warehouse, not being restocked, not in our system, unavailable.  Mopac refused to even look, just said nope.

Mitsu dealership - $55 each for caliper rebuild kit, full payment up front, no returns, 10 business days from Cali and no guarantee it's actually the right part.

Frak me.  Guess I have to hold my nose and cross the border.

Theres lots of cheap rebuilt front calipers online through the states.

Try finding 93 rears. Ive been looking for a year and will have to bite the bullet at $185 a pop.

55 $ per caliper doesn't strike me as expensive... am I missing something?
Plus the OTS rebuilds are usually pretty good

that's not for rebuilts.  That's for the rebuild or repair kit - which has two caliper seals, two steel rings for the caliper seals and boots for the bolts.

I can get rebuilts in the states for $60 plus core.

upgrade to 2g

Those are 2g AWD brakes.

My vote would be upgrade to these: http://www.maperformance.com/baer-brakes/

Or if cost is no object: http://www.maperformance.com/rotora-front-2pc-14in-brake-kit-6pot-1g-dsm.html

Ziggy has some good options too, but the rotors in the basic kit will probably not be as nice as the baer kit

https://www.rtmracing.com/xcart/product.php?productid=16634&cat=1289&page=1

Didn't someone just buy the stoptech 1g kit? That would get my vote.

cost is an object.  I'm into this thing 2-3000 so far and the engine isn't even in the car yet.

the baer kit is the exact same calipers as ziggys cobra kit, can use the powerslots and you're gtg for about 600

RTM's kit looks to be C$809 with lines and slotted rotors.

Yeah it works out the same if you assume that the baer kit is using something of about the same quality as the powerslots

just in case you didn't notice ;(

but i suppose it would be more accurate to say that baer makes the brakes for the 05-09 (iirc) cobra which are the donors.

I personally wouldn't frack around with rebuilding brake calipers unless its a last resort, and on something that really IS out of production like a '62 Lotus Cortina or something.

Don't buy the kit, just the calipers, those will be in stock somewhere as its all 93-99 AWD cars and Stealth/3kGT non turbo cars, plus 91-92 VR4 Galants.

Or that kit that Ziggy sells, or the one Lowell pointed out.
