hey guys,
winter is coming up, my brakes and clutch are goner (brakes r completely gone) oil pan is leaking probs
Need a place to do the maintence, my usual shop quoted me $1000 for full clutch, $600 for the brakes and donno bout the oil pan leak
i live in richmond and was wondering if theres anyplace that has a lower price or something or anyone willing to help me for cheap haha

ive checked express tune and lube too @ bridge port and 3 road, but just about 100 bucks cheaper cause i have company discount

Why not take it to a shop that KNOWS dsm's .... *cough* RG * cough*
you should be about $850 area. itll depend on what clutch, with fluids and flywheel resurfacing. its approx 5ish-hrs
full brakes sound about right. its 3-4hrs labour alone.

yah take it to RG... 1000$ for a clutch job???! is the car AWD or FWD? if its FWD they are way out to lunch. if its AWD they are still wacking you pretty hard for the part.

fwd non turbo... 1000$ clutch job ? lol ya right. take it elsewhere thats to much. its a 5 hour job... @ 100$ an hour say... 500$ labor... so they are charging you 500$ in parts? a clutch for that thing is way cheaper then that.

lol i wish i could just buy a tsi and live with it!
i got this one free and just using it to learn about the basics of cars and pretty much using it as a daily car to work and school
so thats y im not bothering to get another car and fixing the stuff
so where about is RG or w/e that is lol!

i thought of that lol
i mean i recently found the manual and was hoping to do it myself
but then things come up and i dont know if i mite have the time bfore winter hits thats all
Was wondering then, if anyone can let me know what parts to be using
my manual doesnt really tell me much about the parts i need
also what type of tools i need, i know i need some special jacks but donno what kind
Still pretty new and slowing getting some stuff but man... THERES SOO MUCH TO LEARN LOL

Hey ken, if your still looking to do the job, like stated before i do mobile mechanical for competitive rates. I also specialize in DSM's and general automotive. remember the n/a 95 dsm is chrysler powered... so the clutch job isn't like a 4g63 based dsm, its a bit different setup then the mitsu stuff.
