Well the kilometers on the car are legit from what the owner tells me and the car is not bone stock either it comes with a koni suspension kit with eibach springs I think apexi exhaust. He fixed an apparent defect with the exhaust manifold on the car changed the capacitor on the computer motherboard that normally breaks and destroys the motherboard. The second owner has had the car since 50000km and has babied it.

So replacing the tranny fluid with the synchromesh stuff and replacing the shifter bushings and linkage actually worked, it didn't at all after or only a little.

Sounds great Mathew.  If you make sure all maintenance items are kept up (water pump, timing and bal belt, cam/crank seals), and don't go too wild, it will be reliable.

oh, for me, as I said earlier it worked very well.  And it has for others as well.

Now if the synchros are really shot, well it will only do so much.  That will require a rebuild

Well the syncro is pretty shot I don't really know it still shifts into 2 but you have to be patient shifting rev it   To three grand wait a sec then shift cuz I don't know how to tell if it's really shot.

Did you buy it yet or still trying to decide?  If the shifting is the only issue, you could offer to pay the owner for the syncomesh fluid change, then re test drive and see if problem goes away.  It's still a good deal though even if it needs a tranny rebuild.
