bought this sucker for $12 from Princess, and filled my transfer case redline heavyweight shockproof in 2 minutes with no fuss no mess and no waiting. Had me seriously saying don't understand why I ever thought this would be hard. Next up, rear diff.

Hi had one of these, and found that after a while, the seals & hoses stiffened up, and made it very hard & leaky (don't go there!!! ) still for $12, you can always replace it in a couple of years. K

Yes, those cheap transfer pumps seem to work once or twice, then they are leaky roaches. I've even tried the metal cylinder ones that look like a grease gun, they suck as well. Ultimate is pump in 20 litre pail. A bit more expensive, but they come with nice clear hose designed for oil and a metal U bent pipe on the end that hooks into your trans or diff and you can concentrate on pumping until it dribbles out and stop. But yes, anything beats attempting to squeeze it in the hole from the bottle nipple, most of the time it's impossible and you end up attempting to attach some form of hose or funnel to facilitate.

for $12 its great, even if it works for one tranny, one tcase, and one rear diff.
We have a simple very effective hand pump at work. I can't find one anywhere else. I think they got it from a Marine place(like for working on boats).
Its like the pump on a shampoo bottle, but beefier. It has a tube that fits inside the bottle of gear oil(or whatever) and a screw cap that goes on in place of the stock cap. Then you just pump it and it comes out a long flexible line. Its been in the shop and working for at least 3 years as it was used when I started there.

I have one of those and used it to drain the stupid 2G fuel tank. BTW, good luck siphoning the 2G tank from the filler. Learned that one the hard way and finally pulled the fuel pump to do it. (And then detached the transfer hose and drained the other side of the damn tank.) For filling the xfer case I just use a clear hose on the end of an old Pennzoil syncromesh bottle (squeezable). And no, my xfer case doesn't use synchromesh. It only takes a couple of minute this way. It cost me $12.
