i havent seen the damage but body work is expensive and 3 grand isnt expensive at all, my parents honda element got backed into and did 5000$ worth of damage and it needed a new fender, headlight and bumper skin and a little body work on the hood.
in deed but still cant afford it im confident i can do it and do it reasonably well im expecting it wont be perfect but it wont be bad ether ive worked with some fibreglass and body filler on a friends chopper bicycle and it wasn't that hard so heres my plane im gona buy some body filler and fill the dent on the rocker panel so everything lines up again paint so nothing rusts primer/paint ether find a replacement side skirt or try and repair the original with the left over bondo i think this will acutely go rather smoothly well smother then mechanical work I was really angry at my self for making this this happen but now im not because now i get a chance to experience body work and iv been thinking about changing my skirts anyway lol just didn't thing it be this way

Ryan, use as little bondo as possible. really try. Large chunks of that just fall out later.
Try to work with the metal to pull it out, smooth it out, do what you need to. Take the body panels off and hammer it from behind. do what you need, its the best way, not just filling with bondo.
The side skirts need a special adhesive, you can get that, so don't try to hold it with bondo, it won't hold at all. Also, reinforce the repair from behind with something, so the bonded surface is not just the rip in the thin plastic itself, but some structure from behind.

Filler is not meant for making dents disappear. It's purpose is to make the surface smooth after you've pulled the dent out as much as possible. As a general rule (and it may even state this on whatever you end up buying), no more than an 1/8th inch of filler once you're done. Try and get access to the inside of the panel via the interior of the car, you might be able to push most of it out that way. Do not use filler on your sideskirts. These parts are flexible, filler is not. It will crack. You can buy special fillers with flex agents in them, or you can try and repair the skirt without fillers at all (ie, sand out the imperfections).

my side skirts have pop-ins that just pop in the holes in the side of the car the side skirt will evan go bake on sotof expend were the pop-ins were ripped off and were the small dent is it is small but kinda long its maybe 2'' deep anf 4-6 inch long and completely non structural i did get it inspected by 2 places they all say the same as stutter goes i have nothing to worry about as for the bono i wasn't going to use the past i was gona use the the stuff with fibreglass in with it its saposed to fill holes up to 2 1/2 '' and bond to mettle i am a were this surface is bumpy being fibreglass if i doo re use the side skert i will heve to remove whats left of pop-ins and yes im aware of the adhesive i know before adhesive wasn't used because theres a diurt out line were the skirt used to be so either there wasn't as much or not at all.

Cam does this for a living. If he says 1/8th inch max, keep it under an eight.

I don't do this for a living, I'm just a lowly detailer. But I have picked up a few things in the two years I've been with the bodyshop.
Once again, don't just fill it. It's the shittiest possible way to repair this, even if you are using kittyhair (fibre reinforced filler). Kittyhair will not finish well, and needs to be finished with a skimcoat of putty for a proper surface that's pinhole free and smooth after sanding.
The clips can be replaced if they're broken, try and reuse them. The side skirt was likely attached using both clips and double sided tape. Try and reattach it this way if possible for best results.

funny thing i cot one of the lager dents out with a heat gun and co2 lol cam out seamlessly with out paint damage didn't work on the creased ones so i may just buy a stud welder and slide hammer there like 450 then re sell it the creased onse are quits small so whould be eassy with a slide hamerit may not evan need dondo at all if i jut gett it to line up with the side skert il painted and fix the side skert know one would know it was there

friendly tip: http://www.palemoon.org/ <--- built in spell check (also great for you seasoned firefox ((win os)) users, easily((automated)) swaps over plugins and bookmarks.. loads pages noticeably faster regardless of isp) Why settle for a basic build of your Firefox browser on Windows Operating Systems when you can have one that performs 25% faster? Mozilla does not provide optimized browser packages for Windows, while many Linux ("from scratch") users get the advantage of a browser built specifically for their system. That needs to change! So, here is the Pale Moon project: Custom-built and optimized Firefox browsers for Windows Operating Systems. Make sure to get the most speed out of your browser!
Of course, getting a faster browser is not just about optimizing the compilation process (building a program from its source code), but also about carefully choosing features and how to choose the best setup. This means that this browser, however extremely close to Firefox, does not have all the functions that Firefox has. A few, carefully selected, features have been disabled that are not in high demand, and that do not interfere with the way web pages are displayed or function; all to maximize speed and efficiency of the browser. Please see the page with technical details to learn exactly what the browser supports, and what it doesn't support. In short, if you need accessibility features or parental controls, then please visit the firefox homepage and get the official, non-optimized build."

I don't think a spell check would even know what to try and translate that giberish into. friendly tip: http://www.palemoon.org/ <--- built in spell check (also great for you seasoned firefox ((win os)) users, easily((automated)) swaps over plugins and bookmarks.. loads pages noticeably faster regardless of isp) Why settle for a basic build of your Firefox browser on Windows Operating Systems when you can have one that performs 25% faster?
