i just recently got my 95 tsi on the road after getting the trans. rebuilt.the transmission is from a gst.this conversion was done by another member(bcdsm) before i bought it(knowingly)
priced accordingly.being a one tire fire and all.its especially brutal for axle hop.more so than my 95 esi. i guess my main query in all of this is-is this how a gst is?? is it just going to be like this untill i get a proper lsd installed...? if anyone has a gst or has experienced this w/ their front wheel drive turbo and knows the solution for this let me know Undecided

Replace the front motor mount with poly or solid.

+1.

Also upgraded dampers(shocks) will help this.

And doing all the motor/tranny mounts will eliminate it along with good shocks.

Low profile stiff sidewall tires help in this situation as well.

stiffer suspension both front and back..  when you hammer down the ass of the car drops and the front lifts. stiffer suspension helps you stay planted.

buy some poly urethane motor mount inserts and use those.

That plate, while it works won't be a good idea in the long run.

Depends on how many missing bolts and loose panels you have. Idle is the only time its noticable and lets face it, we're not driving bentleys!  Smiley
