i seem to always have a problem hooking up the horn on my dsms(w/ srs) when swapping over to an aftermarket steering wheel.
After pulling the clock spring,im not sure how to wire the horn.there is a red sleeved plug.ithink is the air bag connection. then, there is a plug w/three wires.
i cant figure from the wiring diagram wich is the horn.
Huh-i can rewire the horn altogether, but how do i keep them from tangling 'round??

any advice on this subject would be helpful Embarrassed

I'd just try one, if that doesn't work than you know its the other. I imagine you are not hooking up an aftermarket wheel with an airbag so shouldn't be a big deal unless you wreck your connector for future use. I would imagine the red connector is for the airbag, usually that stuff is brightly colored.

you can't do aftermarket wheels with airbags unless the wheel is specifically an airbag designed wheel.

The yellow wiring is airbag wiring if it follows the mandated specialty wiring color for airbags. So any wires that are not yellow are not airbag related.

I don't THINK your car uses the body control module to run the horn, so it should be just a power and ground.

yeah,i guess theres only three other wires to try, couldnt hurt.
-i know,i was reluctant to remove any safety features at first.but i try not to count on my air bag.my 93 dl never had air bags, didnt stop me from driving as fast as i could Cheesy

a 1g dl and your current turbo car are two completey different animals  Smiley

But its your body.

Tho, the insurance company might have something to say should you have a collision where the airbag might have saved you a lot of hurt and it didn't.
