Looks like a render to me.
I think it's 3D because of the ambient occlusion on all of the corners throughout the image. Not to mention that those lights are way too dim to be casting that much rim light in the bg. But then all the shit in the bg makes me think it could be real...or the bg is real and they softened it up and comped the car on top of it.
