I am aware of that The OEM was thinking outside the box in this case. Domestic stuff at that time was usually more of the same when it came to "innovation" small changes to the same formula or "make it bigger" |

I think it is 413 cross ram with the long runners.
I owned an 426 factory stage three wedge cross runner with short runners.
Ran 11.4 @ 117 MPH all mid range power...

In those days we drove on the street with slicks and skinny front racing tires
Everything was all torque...and we were all crazy too!
I think driving with slicks on the street ended in the last nineties.

as did good suspension, awd and good limited slip diffs with traction/stability control.
that and to run a car like that for a friday nite of fun on the street would probably cost you $50 in gas.
