In a 12 step program

« on: June 20, 2011, 11:07:07 PM »

Not actually spotted, that would be difficult being that we're on either side of a body of water, however: I just had a shocking realization... one of my closest friends (Tim H.) dated your step daughter D...

how many years have you been around here and this has only now occurred to me.
I remember seeing your de-turbo'ed mark III supra once years ago in terrace. I can't believe you're still around bastardizing cars.

Small world man... small world...

There may be some confusion Remi; I had a MKII Supra and I had a MKIII Turbo kit I was going to put on ( as bad a red-neck modder as I am, I would never DE-turbo a car; I might put a turbo where it shouldna oughta go). Before I got too deep into that project, I jumped over to my 928, and sold the Supra to Loren Fell (not sure if you know/knew him). He got most of the way through turbo install before having to leave Terrace to find work.

How is Tim H? Of all D's boyfriends, I liked him the most. Did he ever get into game programming like he wanted?

I have found the west coast of Canada to be a very small world. Cannot tell you of the number of folks I have met here who lived a long while in Smithers/Hazelton/Terrace/Rupert and you can toss in a smattering from Edmonton & Calgary, all of whom are at most 1-step removed (we share mutual friends/family).

ciao for now

I must have been confused about the supras, it was second hand knowledge. It sounded a bit off when I heard it.

Tim is great, we actually both work for the BC health authorities in IT. He did go to school for programming, but ended up side stepping it a bit.
Currently he's a sort of server admin but is actually going back to school to upgrade his degree and eventually start doing game authoring. I'm in a similar boat, but I'm actually looking to steal his job once he goes back to school.
Yeah it is pretty small over here, we work with a couple guys from Smithers 33,000 people in our company and we find the only two that are from that area...
