thought id give a heads up to anyone that's looking for a GOOD local powder coating shop - they also do anodizing

i recently dropped off a spare valve cover to Surf-Tech Industries in Port Moody for powder coating (near Rocky Point Park). Tony the shop manager was easy to deal with and is a young car guy himself.  Pricing was respectable at roughly $80-90 (it can vary slightly based on color) and they polished the raised lettering  Grin

Is the lettering ground after the coating? If it is, wouldn't that cause the coating to fail when the grind oxidizes?

i couldnt tell you maurits as i dont know the process.  itd didnt apprear to be sanded off as the lettering were quite smooth or almost polished and did not look like bare metal.
