Been there, done that.


It is a good spot and it keeps the focal distance about the same as the lowest a-pillar gauge. I made mine with the stock piece, a piece of ABS pipe. 2" fits a gauge snugly with just a little sanding inside, then fiberglass to finish it. That's the same spot I'm going to put my trans temp in my truck when I get it.
When I first posted mine there was interest too but I agree it's just not worth it. To cover materials and any kind of a reasonable wage you're probably looking at $80-$100 per which is just too much. To sell it for what's reasonable ($30?) you'd be making maybe $5/hour. If you could get it set up on plastic moulding machine it'd be sweet, but there's a big investment in the mould to recover depending on the type and obviously access to the machinery is required.
