Ok, so I got this one from Troy "I can't take it anymore!!" Simkus.  Nice, new, all good.  Thanx Troy. Smiley

Took one look at the bolt that goes into the filter and realised that there is no way that little 3/32 hole is gonna flow enough fuel for even a stock motor.  No way... its like half the size of a STOCK piece!

Out comes the drills, and I do it in 3 steps to keep it nice and easy.  I made it bigger than the stock hole.  Then I ran a round file up the inside to clean up the drilled area, and chased the threads on the outside.  Checked it out and its clean and nice.

Slapped some sealant on the threads, put it on the car, fired it up and checked for leaks.  No leaks, short drive, still no leaks.  NICE Smiley

Anyways, as for the guage, nice piece especially for the price.  Only complaint is that the needle vibrates alot when the engine is cold, but once it warms up, it sits really still.

As for my mod, I had to take out 3% fuel almost all across the board on my SAFC!  I was getting crappy mileage and then I remembered what I had done, and corrected for it with the electronics.  I was in the 80% area on my O2 trims.  And blowing black smoke on hard acceleration.

I wish I had a cockpit mounted one as well, but its a start.

Yes, but you're talking about the CommandFlo FPR.

John's talking about the B&M pressure guage only. Thanks for the tip on that BTW, since I'll be getting one soon. I'm getting a 2G MAS in January too. I always seem to be right behind you when it comes to buying stuff John.

Crap, I'm an idiot! I never even though to look at the hole when I installed mine.  Poop, out come the tools again!

And to think I was all proud that I did it right the first time.

so are you saying that if i do this mod to my guage, my car is going to run rich? and what happens if you dont drill it out? obviousley B&M designed it fit the 2g talon turbo does it really need modding? thanks Emerson.

if you slap on the B&M guage as is, your car may run leaner, as the fuel fitting that comes with it is much smaller than the stock one that gets replaced. This limit's the fuel flow, and the same amount of air with less fuel would cause a lean condition.

I wouldn't trust B&M engineers to make the fitting big enough; the guage that fits T/E/L's is the same guage used for several models of Honda's.

yep, its a universal Japanese car one.  And it is probably fine for a stocker too.

Have a look at that hole tho, and imagine trying to flow enough fuel thru there for even the 450's that come with it stock.

I just did an install of the B&M gauge, took a few pics as well........

pic of what u get in the Kit, minus two of the crush washers, look how small the banjo bolt hole is!!

these are a comparison pics after I drilled out the hold on the B&M banjo bolt. Should flow a bit better....

Installed and ready to go, after checking for leaks..(mind the mess on the firewall, its not easy to keep it clean with the hood I have Sad
