Monthly Meets - Saturday or Sundays or Alternating??

Well, no-one says this has to be enforced, but it sure would be good to know what the majority preference is from our club for when we have our monthly meets.

If you plan on attending meets in the Lower Mainland, please vote.  If you live outside the Lower Mainland and don't plan on attending our meets, please don't vote.

Would there be any problems doing a vote for Best Day for Everyone for each meet.  That way everyone can vote for which day will work best for them for the meet.

This decision does not affect me as Sat or Sun works for me.

Well, I was thinking that as well - but now we're gettin pretty involved in organizing our meets - is that as detailed as we want to go? IE: are we going overboard? Yes, I want to appease to as many members as possible.  The larger the turnout, the better! But are we going to have enough support from the members to actually make adequate decisions?

 I mean, if only 5 or 6 members vote, and it's consistantly the same day, then we may as well get back to the whole "1st sunday of every month" deal (don't get me wrong Jeff/Rich ... fab idea, i'm just stirrin the pot to see if we can get a better turnout )

I guess we'll find out with the results of this poll, whether there's enuff support to do a poll for each month's meet.

We use to meet up once every three months or so on random dates, but then people wanted more meets. So someone brought up how they meet up on the 1st Sunday of every month in Ontario, and we agreed to that.
Either way, doesn't really matter much to me. Sometimes the monthly meets seem like their too often and the turnouts are crappy. Other times it's the opposite.

Sunday would be better for me since I work on Sat.

I realize that last sunday was probably the last meet of the year, but did we ever decide how we want to pick dates in the new year?

Well - Saturday or Sunday - doesn't matter too much to me - I'm generally working both those days (actually effective the 16th, I'll be working both those days regularly, unless I take a sick day) Perhaps during drag season next year we could throw in an occasional Friday night meet?  You know - hang out for a while, head to the track, kick some V8 butt, and then go for a couple of beers and laugh about the funny look on the face of the guy with the twin-turbo mustang who got walked on by a TSi.
