Or just call up VanMit (for Eclipse VINs) and get a recall check/writeoff check for free.

Not to shit on you or nothing, but...

This is why I said "Assuming it's an Eclipse VIN".  When I made a post about it, I got at least 4 or 5 e-mails from people saying "wow, I didn't know you could do that, this is saving me major money!"  So y'know.

u can just go to ur local dealer and give them ur VIN and they will tell u if any recalls have been performed and if u should concider doing any.

I did this with my seatbelts in my last Talon and it was all free. Landsdown Chrysler is the best place. Automall guys are assholes

I think Andrew's point is:  Did he say he was checking VIN's for recalls?  Maybe he's checking VIN's for ICBC reports, or CARFAX.

carfax sucks, i typed in my vin and it says my car has odometer tampering.....

its uses your aircare to determine your kms

anyways i drive around 10000 a year my aircare

2001    189000
2002    101000    (should be 201000, human keying error)
2003    208000

I contacted carfax to fix it and they wont.
anyone with common sense can see I am not attemping fraud
except them.
