"Roomlamp" Circuit; I.O.D. Fuse
« on: May 26, 2007, 05:47:04 pm »
Hey guys,

I drive a '96 TSi AWD.  Can anyone list all the components to the circuit protected by the "roomlamp" fuse?  I have an inkling that at least the powerlocks, lamp in the interior and in the trunk, radio-memory (?) are involved... anything else?  I've narrowed down the electrical drain to this circuit, but cannot pinpoint the actual component causing the drain.  (e.g. the draw is 0.07Amps with fuse in, but 0.038Amps with it out)

A somewhat related question is: how come there's a yellow clip keeping the "roomlamp" and "I.O.D." fuses together?  I translated the French for the "I.O.D." fuse to mean something like an "electrical feed"... what exactly does it feed?  How come that fuse is linked/locked together with the "roomlamp" fuse?

Thanks, guys!

Fred
