use your EGT gauge to tell you how much boost you can run
after i had mine installed to day, proceeded to test it out. promptly shot up to and slightly past 900 C before i let off near 5500-6000rpm in third :?
turns out my boost gauge wasnt reading properly before, looked like the nylon hose was kinked behind it when i saw it briefly before tommy took it out today. now the needle jumps around much much faster, i didnt know it was normal for the vacuum to instantly go from -20 to 0, mine used to be a several-second crawl. redline first gear before would result in the gauge reading around 9 psi, now its up to where its set at way before redline. it also turns out that the boost controller was actually set to around 18psi as opposed to the 14psi i thought it was. its back to really being at 14 psi now, and it feels faster than it did at 18, and the egt is reading around 850 C @ redline in third.
