let just say i had a 2g and i raced a boxter (not a type-s)...would it smoke me?  how close would it be?  and how much hp would i need to make it a good fight?? thanks~~~

a porsche boxter is not that fast, quick but not fast, i was not impressed when i drove one, have'nt driven an S yet.

You should be comparble to it with basic intake/ exhaust work.

another question..didnt want to start another thread for another small question..but was just wondering where to buy transparent red paint for taillights???? i hate altezza lights but i thought these lights looked nice..altezzas painted with transparent red~  http://members.shaw.ca/teamclimax/eclipse1.jpg

I've seen that car... its a local guy, saw him in Surrey at the Guildford mall once.... I think he bought those tailights like that

i think it was either 13-15,000 for a 97 tsi awd and all the goodies

yeh..i know~~  thats where i saw the car too (revscene) ...someone on that post said they did that to their own car too and that they used transparent red paint or something...i think it was andreas cuz the guy had a picture of a orange eclipse as his avatar~

those paints... I think Lordco has them... at least I think the one on 72nd? ave does... in Surrey....

To paint them, take the lights off, take masking tape if you want and mask off the edges of the light... and paint them on the light about 1-3ft away.... and do it a little lightly.... and a few times until disired look.... also... evenly and try to paint it where there's no bugs... etc that will touch it...

Also... after the desired look... paint it with clear coat... do a couple of coats.... and let it fully dry and put them on... and see....

boxter s will do mid 14s if i remember my magazines right.

a couple minor mods and some good driving you'll beat it.

take it to the track though.

No, man.... it's damn easy... I've done it when I got my talon lights.. and got caught because I've used transparent BLACK instead of red.
jut take it off... a few bolts inside and ofcourse, the mid piece comes off first if you don't know already... and put it on ground with newspaper behind it... and spray on....
