hey guys just wondering if any one has any pic that i could use in the installation of my big 16g.   thing dont look like they are going to fit at this point.




do i need a slimmer fan to clear my j pipe
8 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX AWD (6 bolt)
gt30r, AEM EMS, Aem Wide Band, Kinetic Front Mount, 272/272 Cams, 650 Injectors, ported 1g  Intake, tein flex coilovers w/EDFC, 3" turbo back exhaust, Tail 38mm Waste Gate, Balance Shaft Removed

It ain't going to fit that's why......

You need a 200USD Install kit

You're going to need a 2g install kit which comes with the oil feed/return lines bolts/gaskets and the j-pipe (which you already have).

I'd remove the fans for more clearance and you have remove the manifold. I think there is a VFAQ for the installation...look for that.

He already has the install kit.


Just ductape it on man! Thats why I always do.

Ductape and JB Weld... holds my car together.

robin, your j-pipe was built for your fans.... dosen't clear james's stock 4" monster fans.

The J-pipe fits, you have to make sure that whoever welds the j-pipe on the flange is doing it right because it is a tight fit.

all you need is one braided steel oil line for the installation, all the other parts are interchangeable.

The j-pipe is the same one used on Wally's car to, which had both stock fans in it also, so it should fit.

His J-pipe is chrome so hes got that taken care of ;)

i got my new fan in now everything seems to fit the only problem i have is that there is no pressure line coming out of the turbo. do i need one or can i just leave it without one

I hope you're talking about a pressure take off from the compressor housing/j-pipe.  You can try controlling it from a different pressure source, like the BOV line, but it's probably a good idea to tap and install a barb into your pipe now before you install everything.
