changin valve cover plans
« on: December 13, 2003, 02:09:00 pm »
after talkin to a few people who polished their valve covers and hearing about their troubles i think i have changed my mind on polishing it
i was originaly going to polish the whole cover......scott girvin told me about how ugly his looked and how much time he put in it even with the proper tools....so i dont think i want to mess up..so now i think i'm going to paint the cover a really high gloss enamel black and then polish the tops of all the letters....then pick up a bc dsm wire cover and polish that...i think that will look equally if not better than a polished cover with the polished wire cover
i almost think it will look better entirely
opinions?

ohyea i posted this thread here instead of the lounge cause the island section seems to not have much action

i can still try the polished one on your cover if you want wade...its just that i'm not sure how it will look...i've heard some say it looks awesome and some say its shit...so i dunno..its a gamble..kinda no goin back on it either....
with the black painted one i think theres less chance of it lookin shitty...plus i think it would look sweet with the polished letters and cover....polished cover with the polished valve cover would almost be too much i think
it'll be a really shinny high gloss black

Yeah, I've seen another cover in the pics department with a black paintjob, and it looked pretty slick.

I think white and blue go together pretty good

well white and any colour would go together good, but Ryan didn't have any red couplers for me!!! heheh
