Well took the HTA68 (FP's modded Evo III 16G) Turbo Colt to Evolution's dyno today.

Ended up with 381 WHP and 353 TQ.  @ 28-29 psi.  19 deg's of timing max advance, no knock.....Car ran perfect, only popped the dipstick out and sprayed oil everywhere once till we tied it down lol.

SUPER happy with the results.  After all that work and not getting results last year due to the leaking/opening crushed 1g BOV..(it only made 260 WHP (mustang dyno) last year @24 psi), it was good to put down some good numbers.

heres the dyno sheet @ 29psi...  (381 HP)

Car also made 310 HP @ 24 psi also earlier before we turned the boost up.

We could not get the boost any higher then 28-29 psi.  I intended for 30-32 psi but i imagine the flapper (stock wastegate) was getting blown open at those boost levels.  Im thinking maybe of a way to keep it closed better @ 30-32 psi.  Or it could just be the stock tdo5h evo III hotside maxing out... either one. also running a 3 bar MAP so 30-32 psi might be pushing out of the voltage range of the MAP sensor.  might have to upgrade to a 3.5 or 4 bar.

All the specs for the build is in the picture galler under my black turbo colt post.  Still on the junkyard 6 bolt engine that had a siezed/rusted up cylinder last year and i worked it back/forth till it freed up lol...  It only smoked blue for a little bit and i think the rings re-sealed properly now.  hahaha

and then new axles.  There is no way the stock axles are gonna hold that much power with slicks!!

Oh and go do a couple of pulls at RG so we can compare apples to apples.  I bet it does well there too!

the 89 colt GT's axles  and transmissions have been known to be easily good for 10 seconds.  The axles shouldnt be a issue... even with slicks. (the colts axles are like a awd DSM axles)  Plus the slicks we run arn't the biggest ones around.

The Next thing its getting is SOLID polyurathane engine mounts (prothane) and a set of 4 new KYB struts.

the engine mounts, but also do the lower control arm bushings too and if you can find some subframe bushings as well, it all ties togeather.

I suggest some adjustable struts such as the AGX or Koni Yellows.  This way you can stiffen up the rears fully stiff so it doesn't squat.  Squat is good for cars with rear wheels that are powered, but not for fwd as you know.

Yeah...  there is no adjustibles that are readily availible for the colt chassis so i went with just KYB Gr2 replacements...  I think i might just stack some bumpstops or hockey pucks in the rear struts to make it really stiff at the track to prevent squat in the rear and try and keep the front planted...  hahah should work in therory

Koni probably makes an insert that works for the colt suspension (they make them for everything under the sun) but you may not find them listed for that application anymore. Isn't colt suspension pretty much 1g suspension?

like a 1g fwd, with fucked up front hubs/rotors/bearing assemblies.

you can swap in 1g struts, but the spring perches are about 1.5" higher......... not really what we want for ride hieght

Here is what I would do:

Get some ebay coilover sleeves for a 1g fwd application
Then order some custom springs. Swift springs will basically make you anything you want and they're not much more $ than normal springs due to economy of scale/how much stuff they make)
You can tell them ID, OD, coil count, coil thickness and desired rate or just tell them what the weights are.
