Yup, its a 1993 geo storm...  wife has owned it since she was 16.  (she is now 29), so its been in the family for awhile.  When i first met her it had a 92HP 1.6L SOHC engine in it.  I then swapped in a 140 HP DOHC 1.8L engine.   I then found a couple Isuzu Impulse RS's and parted them and took all the turbo stuff off of them and swapped it in.

The geo storm now has probably around 180 HP and runs 8 psi of boost through a IHI turbo, top mount intercooler, runs a stock DIS ignition system/engine managment from the RS, and theres lots more mods and power going to be going on it in the future!

Last year i managed to get her down the track in 14.9 seconds @ 6 psi of boost..   thats the fastest geo storm i have seen in person lol!

That Storm will outrun a 4L v8 powered BMW ;)

Fantastic little car, make sure it stays in the family Brett.
They're like expensive pokemon... gotta catch 'em all.

veerrryyyy slowly,  i have been busy working on the race colt of my buddies, and also the celica GT4 RC of my buddies that i have been doing a full engine rebuild and renewing pretty much every gasket/seal in the drivetrain, also full CF one piece driveshaft and a host of other goodies.\

The eclipse has sorta been put on the backburner till i can get those two projects done for the customers.

I do have the engine bay paint all done on the eclipse/talon and the subframe/suspension/steering rack etc all bolted back up.  Just need the time to put everything back together then bring it to a body shop to have the front bumper and rear hatch painted.  then hopefully i can enjoy it for awhile

got wiper transmission,  the brake lines, clutch master, brake master, clutch lines/slave and some of the AC lines installed. also hooked up the steering linkage again and bolted the steering column back down.  Next is the wiring harness installed along with the ac condenser and compresser back in there., then try and get the engine bolted back in.

Welll shes finally back together and running again!!  yayyyy

had to pull the turbo off the engine and install a modified compresser housing i got welded to properly fit the VRSF intercooler piping.  There was no easy routing to use the stock t25 outlet position so i cut the outlet off and had it re-welded to shoot strait down.  ended up working perfectly.

the hardest part of that was getting those damn huge c-clips off and back on to remove and install the compresser housing. i gotta buy a better pair of heavy duty 90 degree circlip pliars.

anyways,  cut the bumper support to fit around the intercooler and still retain the support under the headlights of the bumper.

pic of the engine bay as of now (plan on re-circing the 1g bov and installing a custom powerdercoated black and silver valve cover with a new gasket. pretty stockish for now besides the air filter and the intercooler piping.

Last night i got the new bumper installed properly,  took a lot of carefull cutting and trimming to get it fit perfectly around the fmic.  Pretty much ready to throw  the wheels back on and drive it to my workplace and weld up the new exhuast.

hey update again!

car is driving again! put a day pass on her and drove it to the shop i work at.  Currently in the process of building a full custom 3" exhuast from turbo back ( including a cat for aircare :( )  The old exhuast was just too far gone for me to wanna use it, and well.... some crackhead stole the old downpipe/flex/cat!

a few pics of the FMIC and bumper, finished product (besides paint lol)

Next steps
-replace inner tie rod ends + 4 wheel alignment
-paint bumper and touch up car
-cut polish and wax
-install bigger momo steering wheel
-replace weaping yoke on front of driveshaft
-install custom powercoated valve cover (thanks sheela!)
-Charge A/C and install AC belt. (need those windows defrostin QUICK!!)

Hoping to have her aircared and doing fully DD duties by next week!

Oh and Bryan -  No i do not do aluminum welding (just steel with a mig) i have a local guy in chilliwack that i get to do my custom aluminum welding.

Well update, got the exhaust all done, turned out really nice and solid. Should last the rest of the cars life hopefully now.

Also got her ready for aircare. Had a bad upstream o2 sensor so the car was running super rich till I threw a new sensor in there.... now she's pretty much ready.

Did a boost leak test and found a couple leaks that I'll have to get a few parts to fix (Injector seals leak boost, throttle body gaskets leaking,

Also have to install a recirc pipe for the BOV
