My car finally went into the shop yesturday from the deer accident.  Took forever to get the new headlights in.  It should be done within a week.  So yea a weekend in Sept and i'll prob be down, unless I sell it by then, which would be pretty nuts.

I meant for you.  And i've been doing that for the past 4 years with my car.  Only insuring it in the summer and taking it off the road during school.  Except that somehow things seem to break on my car when i'm not even driving it, but thats because every vehicle I own is cursed.

Its all good Mike..Yeah I used to think my car was cursed but it just hand two hiccups and no everything seems ok.. Just now its getting old now its up 210K and they were accessories will soon start failing. So that being said I will be selling both Talons soon and buying a riced out Honda!!! More reliable and I love the sound of those fart cannons!! hahaha.

Anyway after my little rant I don't think I will be up for a meet..Too bad who know things may change..

well, as long as we can more than like 5 people interested then It would actually be worth it...there isntt much point if there will only be 2-3 people... will there??? anyway my car isnt back on the road yet, should have the clutch and tranny back in this week and hopefully get it inspected this week too and re insured. im thinkin 14, 15TH?  21st 22nd?? one of those sunday monday combos??

Just an idea for the meeting place - Elk Lake. There are a series of roads (Brookleigh > Oldfield > Sparton > Prospect Lake > Munns > Millstream Lake/Millstream) that would be a fun initial drive before grabbing a bite to eat or heading out into the boonies for more twisties and/or mabye a photo op.

Or mabye drive the long way to a pub for a drink or two and disperse from there.

all sounds good except the pub part....im 18.    lol...for a few more months. but yea, I like the idea of a drive , then grab some food somewhere and drive somewhere good for a photo op...

Maybe you guys come out Millstream Lk/Munns rd, you guys could stop at my house and check out the two parked DSM as of Friday both will now collect dust, dirt, leaves under tarps. I have a feeling this is the end of my DSM loyalty for a while. Neither seem to be selling on UsedVictoria.

The Elk Lake to Millstream sprint takes less than a half hour at half decent speeds (Think.... mabye 6 or 7 tenths of what's possible) - I imagine we'll want to go elsewhere for a bit, too.

Perhaps we should take Finlayson Arm from Millstream, as that spits us out at Goldstream. It's a pretty short jaunt up the Malahat to hit Shawnigan from there, although I'm not familiar with the Shawnigan Lake area. I assume there's some good roads, no cops, and some sort of eatery we could stop at.

Date is set for the 21st of September, starting at the Elk Lake parking lot (Brookleigh Road, just off the Pat Bay at the Sayward lights).

Anyone have input on the time? I think 11:30 or 12:00 would be decent, as it allows anyone who's over the Malahat to get here without getting up early on their Sunday.
