So the car I bought sat for probably close to 3 years nd no idea when tranny fuid was done. The car has som issues going intomfirst a secnd and the synchro is going in 3rd. Woul probably be a good idea to chnge out the fluid?

Changing the fluid to Redline MT90 might help.  If you do and it still crunches on shifts, you need a rebuild.  It's a weakness for sure or these cars.  I'd be inclined to rebuild by Racing greed rather than another used one unless you already had one from a parts car to throw in and try.

Fluid change definitely.  But also check be sure the shifter cables are also adjusted properly.  Not sure if it got progressively worse over the years, and it may be obvious gear + synchro wear,  but the adjustment at the shifter base definitely can make or break driveability with just small adjustments.
