Alarm/Dash/Tail light question
« on: September 10, 2003, 08:13:04 pm »
the other day my dash and tail lights went out. It's not the fuse because when I set my alarm they blink on and off showing my alarm is working so I don't know what could be the problem. Any explanations would be great.

Thanx,

Not enough info....

Do the brake lights work when you step on the pedal?

The lights light up because your alarm is giving them the juice

I'd guess that you either have a switch problem (the one on the steering column)  or you have a main supply power problem ie no voltage getting to the switch.

I still think it's possible to light up all your lights and have a blown fuze...

With the parking light switch in the "on position" start probing the parking light wires with a test light, I'm sure you'll find the answer, I'm still guessing burnt fuze (they can look whole but be bad)
