n00bage question
« on: April 20, 2012, 09:00:32 pm »
I know every car is different...I've read lots about venting to atmosphere, but my question is this. You guys think it would affect an auto the same way as it does a manual?

yes. its still air that the ecu has counted with the maf.

completely the same, you're still venting air that the ecu believes is in the system, need to ditch the maf and meter the air after the bov to vent

completely the same, but with autos, its not as bad in practice because the auto shifts so quickly even in normal driving.

It can be a problem with aircare however, and your fuel economy will suffer, just not as far as on a stick shift car.

The other time you will see a noticable problem is when you are on a little bit of boost, then come to a complete stop soon after the boost.  It may loose its ability to hold an idle and with the load of the torque converter when you stop it may stall the engine.

spend a couple and get a ITA and 3.5 bar to go with what ever tuning system you choose, you have needed a tune for ever lol

Then google.
Then read old postings about it.
Then ask.
