or uninformed.  a lot of people refur to the evo having the "big injectors and turbo and big FMIC" when i guess they are comparing it to a DSM, they are right.

That's the stock evo I turbo the car came with. (Big 16g)  (49178-01450).

Still a very capable turbo.(300-320whp).. But it does suck that someone upsold the car with parts the car never had...  Like I said, previous owner was probably uninformed.

What is the VIN of your car?  Just currious to see which production run it is.  (There were two production runs of 2500 cars each in 1992...

My evo VIN is CD9A00002249 (2249 of the first 2500 evos EVER made!)

yea I suspected they would be stock turbo and injectors.  510s and a big 16g.

I suspect its not running rich due to the injectors or ecu etc, but just that it has no cat.  Put in a cat and then hook up the gas analyser again, and then look at the numbers.

Of course boost leaks, high fuel pressure, sticking injectors, plugged air filter etc will cause rich running too.  But James would have addressed those if he could see the causes.

I  also suspec that those gauges didn't come with the car as Brett was saying that the cars don't come with them, and even the DSMs didn`t use an actual boost guage, but an electronic guestimate
91 Eagle Talon TSi 5spd awd.  GT-12, TriFlow Cams, 850s, Tial, JIC, Jackal, sticky rubber.
86 Merkur XR4Ti 5spd, rwd, turbo, 91,381km.  Original paint, heated leather. intercooled, big VAM, Full 3" exhaust, Cossie sway bar, 16" tires.
06 Mazdaspeed6 6spd awd, DISI turbo, heated leather HIDs, Corksport, Cobb, Konig, Centric...

The AirCare #s are as seen below...

The gauges are all wired/plumbed in like a factory accessory package & bolt into proper bosses in the back of the mounting plate. This car also has other factory options like power folding mirrors & keyless entry.

Cool gauges!, but I doubt it rolled off the factory with them installed, likley installed after the fact by one of the previous owners...  Nice looking with the mitsu logos on them.  They may have been a factory "upgrade" part availible... Who knows,  never seen then come stock tho..

Nice job on the vin!   Cool to have one of the first few hundred evo made!!

I think that's what they are
A aftermarket factory upgrade
They fit really nicely
keeps it clean
The temp gauge we've been having issues with
We found that its an oil temp gauge not a air intake gauge
And that the sensor was in the drain plug...
We are still not sure about that

Yeah it's a relatively low number :P
