Haven't seen one either. Tons of crappy aftermarket faubs (not fob haha) though. Why?
I dont care what anyone says about my car. It only had 1 error code.

my evo has a infared unlock/lock button built into the stock key..  its not like a standard fob tho, you have to be within a few feet of the door handle IR sensor to unlock or lock the doors and the key has to be pointed at it. lol

The Cadillac XLR had it figured out. Keep the key in your pocket and you could lock/unlock the doors and start the car. All these systems where you have push-button ignition but the key has to be in the ignition? Wtf?! That's pointless

On topgear jeremy was complaining about passive arming/disarming on a mercedes since he could not see if the locks were closing because once he was close enough to check they would be open. Lol   He would have to leave the keys somewhere to verify the locks were closing.

I agree, what is the point of a key in start button? Just more hassle and one more thing to break!

If the actuators were in place for keyless entry it'd be easy least to install a proximity system where you could walk up to your car and unlock the doors without having to take your key out of your pocket. And the actuators are decently cheap too. Hmm... Maybe a winter project

yeah but remember theres no point in doing that unless you have it set up for the ignition as well, which id imagine would get tricky.

I'd really like to do that on the Talon if it could be done simply and cheaply.  I often get into the talon, then have to dig my keys out...

It'd be the same as the locks. It's just like an "if switch". When you push the button for ignition it checks the if switch, if the same proximity sensor that works for the locks detects the faub then it connects the same circuit that the ignition cylinder does when you put the key in and the car starts. The locks and the ignition would be on the same system so that if you can unlock your doors then you can also start the car

Has anyone seen the Top Gear episode when Jeremy parks Hammond's new Challenger out on a main road while Hammond is still in the diner, keys in hand?  Hammond was completely unaware that his car had been moved.   With such a proximity range, imagine if your child was taking your car for a spin down your driveway while you were watching that Top Gear episode!

Early 1995 2Gs never had the factory option or I would have ordered the option in the Summer of 1994.

I ended up leaving my Talon at Ralph's Radio for about 1.5 weeks to wire up remote door locks, trunk release, alarm and etc.

Well, that figures..... mines a 95   >:(

Oh well, I have the actuators, just have to find the time to install and wire them up.

Curiosity causes me to do more work all the time.
