yea.  But then many people don't actually realize how much power 450 all wheel hp is.

+1

Getting there will be easier than staying there.  :)

It has been said before but 350 (RG horses) would be a good initial target, if reliability and reasonable costs are high on your list of priorities. If not, then the sky and your bank account are your only limits. At 350 you can keep quick spool with some real power, have mid-range punch for a usable dd power-band, and keep mostly stock parts that will last you awhile and keep costs reasonable.

I was at 374(rg) HP.
Good enough to beat stock mustangs...stock performance imports etec.. but not by much.

The 450HP level with torque is impressive......

ummm, 374 will do way more than that.

i went 11's on 291 RG AWHP.

Same settings i stayed with and SLIGHTLY pulled on a newer Lambo on the street.  His face was priceless.

m point is is that 450 is a lot.  the way hp numbers are tossed around on the internet, people think they need 1200 of them.

I recently heard a story of a guy with 420 atw pulling a car length on a new viper up to 200.
The car was a little bit lighter than a dsm but had rwd.

Apparently mr.macho in the viper who picked the fight didn't look over after being put in his place. I bet he will think twice before picking on another old import. Lol

Coming home from work (N. Van) I often end up on the HWY#1 (and Hastings St)eastbound entrance stop light... It is 1000Ft before 2 wide lanes become one.  Yet to see anybody (performance cars ) backing down.  I blew my intercooler once on this light.

The race doesn't usually begin til half way cross the intersection, the v8 guys have advantage with instant torque.
